Catch a preview of performances by the Bowen McCauley Dance Company, Washington Shakespeare Company, and pop-jazz singer Mary Ann Redmond. 11 to 11.

This Columbus Day, groove to a global beat at the Millennium Stage’s presentation of Hip Hop Dance Ambassadors, including performers from Bolivia, Zimbabwe, Burma, and Pakistan. 6 PM. Free.

Catch the folk-music group Bowerbirds at the Black Cat. Fun fact: The band lives and records most of its music in an Airstream trailer. 9 PM. Tickets ($13) are available here.
