Monday, July 9: Start your week off by attending the opening of the DC Hip-Hop Theater Festival this evening. The festival is six days of live music, dance, poetry, theater, and other performances. Each event melds hip-hop with an exploration of the culture while showcasing new talent from Washington and beyond. The opening-night party will be held at Andalu (1214 18th St., NW; 202-785-9525) starting at 9:30 pm. Poet and DJ Rich Medina will be spinning.
