How would you describe your style?
Classic, but I like to mix in some trends.
Favorite designers?
I’m a total shoe guy—I’m really into Ferragamo. As far as clothes go, I like a lot of the English designers, particularly Paul Smith. I also love Thomas Pink shirts.
Favorite places to shop in Washington?
Last Call—the sale on sale items—at Neiman Marcus. It makes it possible to buy designer clothes and still eat dinner. I also like the Saks men’s store. I think the best shoe selection is at Nordstrom in Montgomery mall. Sky Shoes in Georgetown also has an interesting mix.
Best bargain you’ve ever found?
I got this beautiful blue pinstripe Dolce & Gabbana suit for $700. It must have retailed for at least $3,000.
Favorite thing in your closet?
My Diesel jeans.
Fashion advice?
For men, the shirt and the tie are really the only two places we can use to say something. I believe the suit is a foil for the shirt.
