Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Catch a comedy show or dance the night away

Whether you know “Time Warp” by heart or are a Rocky Horror virgin, take part in this Halloween tradition with a midnight show at E Street Cinema. In keeping with rowdy tradition, the screening features a live shadow-cast performance by Sonic Transducers. It’s also playing Saturday; get tickets ($10) here.

Get prepped for tomorrow’s Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert rallies with Washington Improv Theater’s “Moderderate-ly Funny: A Pregame Show of Improv Comedy.” The troupe hopes to rehab Washington’s reputation as a humorless place. The show is at Artisphere at 8 and 10. Buy tickets ($20) here

Fusing instrumental Latin beats and jazz rhythms, Rumba Club’s music offers a great opportunity to show off your dancing skills. The group is playing the final show of its 2010 season at Montpelier Arts Center (9652 Muirkirk Rd., Laurel). 8 PM. Call 301-377-7800 to purchase tickets ($18 to $20).
