Recall Alert: Local Cider Might Carry E. Coli

Baugher’s Orchard, a pick-your-own fruit farm and apple-cider maker north of Baltimore in Westminster, Maryland, has issued a recall of its bottled apple cider due to a possible E. coli contamination. Seven local cases of the bacterial infection—five in patients under 18 years old—might be tied to the unpasteurized cider, sold in some Maryland grocery stores. If you have the cider, throw it away and bring the receipt back to where it was purchased to get a refund.
