Spend an evening steeped in history—or interior design

Jose Solís Betancourt and Paul Sherrill, internationally lauded and Washington-based interior designers, are giving a talk at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Their lecture will focus on their work and signature style, which incorporates period furniture and decorative objects, and they’ll sell and sign copies of their book, Essential Elegance. 7 PM. At Politics and Prose, Noah Feldman is talking about his book, Scorpions: The Battles and Triumphs of FDR’s Great Supreme Court Justices, which narrates the battle over the Constitution against the backdrop of the Great Depression. For a peek into more recent history, head back to Politics and Prose at 9 AM tomorrow to line up for former President Jimmy Carter’s signing of his White House Diary.
