Over dose on Christmas cheer before the season comes to a close

Monday, December 20
Last Train Home, a DC-based roots-and-rock band is performing at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage. The lineup includes a mix of classic holiday songs and the group’s own interpretations influenced by a mix of bluegrass, pop, swing, and country. Free; 6 PM.

Tuesday, December 21
Celebrate the longest night of the year in style at L2 Lounge’s Winter Solstice party. Starting at 7, there’ll be drinking and dancing. No cover.

Wednesday, December 22
It’s “Holiday Mayhem” at the Signature Theatre—the venue’s annual seasonal cabaret. There’ll be music, dancing, and plenty of holiday humor to enjoy. The show runs December 20 through 23; tickets ($40) are available here.

Thursday, December 23
Belt it out at the Kennedy Center’s Handel’s Messiah Sing-a-long, accompanied by the Opera House Orchestra. Get in line early for free tickets, which are distributed starting at 6. One ticket per person.
