If you missed its opening this weekend, catch Let Me Down Easy by Anna Deavere Smith at the Arena Stage. She created and stars in the one-woman show about health, bodies, and the human spirit, based on interviews with everyone from Lance Armstrong to supermodels. Through February 13. Tuesday, January 4
Every night this week, the Black Cat is hosting Drink and a Movie, and tonight is a double feature of John Hughes flicks and $5 mimosas. It starts at 8:30, and there’s no cover.

Wednesday, January 5
Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet is opening at the Studio Theatre. The final chapter in Tarell Alvin McCraney’s Brother/Sister trilogy tells the story of a young Louisiana man torn between his family and his homosexuality. Through February 13. Buy tickets ($35 to $50) here.

Thursday, January 6
Discover a hidden treasure at the Washington Winter Show, featuring more than 40 high-end antiques and fine-art dealers at American University’s Katzen Arts Center. Tickets are $12, and proceeds benefit four local children’s charities. Through January 9.
