Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Music and art for Friday night

A collection of great local bands is playing at St. Stephen’s Church as a benefit for Positive Force/We Are Family. Lemuria, Hot Mess, and Magrudergrind are just some of the pop, punk, and rock names on the bill. Bonus—there’ll be a vegan bake sale. 6 PM; buy tickets ($10) at the door.

Chicago-based DJ Ron Trent is giving an all-night dance show called “Body Music” with Chris Burns at the Warehouse Loft (411 New York Ave., NE). His infectious style blends house music, new wave, disco, and soul. 10 PM; $10 at the door.

Contemporary artist Leslie Nolan creates large-scale, bold, and colorful works. Touchstone Gallery is hosting an opening reception for her show, “Off-Kilter,” with live music and a winetasting from Bistro Blanc. 6 to 8:30; free.
