DANCE: The Washington Ballet’s Jeté Society hosts a Beer and Ballet event this evening at the Washington Ballet Studios. Peek in on a rehearsal of the company’s upcoming Carmen and chat afterward with dancers over microbrews and appetizers. 6:30 PM; buy tickets ($25) here.

DRINKS: Rustico in Alexandria is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a night of $5 drafts. Several of the establishment’s original bartenders will be pouring a selection of 30 draft beers. 5 PM until closing; no cover.

PERFORMANCE: Hear true tales of winning and losing at The Eye of the Tiger, SpeakEasy DC’s theme for tonight’s open-mike night. In a blend of theater and standup, the storytellers will share their experiences, ranging from working on Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign to making a deal with a mugger.
