DRINKS: American Craft Beer Week kicks off (somewhat) locally at Punk’s Backyard Grill. The Annapolis restaurant collaborated with Oliver Ales to create its own brew, Draft Punk. In celebration, from 6 to 10, the Grill will be selling $3 pints and souvenir glasses, as well as food for 20 percent off. Can’t make it tonight? The beer will also be sold in select Washington bars and restaurants.
ART: If you missed the opening this weekend, you can still check out “Cold Light: Biolumiescent Evolution,” the latest exhibit at the Fridge. Three artists use alternative light sources, including fluorescent paint, fiber optics, and UV light to create works that explore the limits of perception. On display through June 5. The gallery is open from 2 to 7 and is free.
BOOKS: Alexandra Styron, daughter of novelist William Styron (Sophie’s Choice and others), is reading and discussing her book, Reading My Father: A Memoir, which details her experiences with her father’s depression and living in his shadow, at Politics and Prose. 7 PM; free.
MUSIC: Canadian rockers the Sam Roberts Band are at the Rock and Roll Hotel tonight. Their new album, the country-and-blues-influenced Collider, is getting good notices. 8:30 PM; buy tickets ($14) at Ticket Fly.
