The Majestic: Barnum (Was Right)
911 King St., Alexandria; 703-837-9117
This Old Town dining room’s take on the vintage cocktail named for P.T. Barnum gets its punch from Citadelle gin and its slight sweetness from apricot brandy. It’s not on the menu but is made on request.

Level: GinZInger

Red Zinger tea and gin? It works in the grapefruity creation served at this small-plates hangout.

Ris: Elderflower Collins
2275 L St., NW; 202-730-2500
This bracing mix of cucumber, St. Germain, and Hendrick’s might be the perfect sunny afternoon refresher on this West End restaurant’s lovely patio.

Estadio: Gin and Orange Tonic
1520 14th St., NW; 202-319-1404
The flavored tonics at this Logan Circle Spanish spot often change, but keep an eye out for the fizz that’s aromatic and sweet with orange and thyme.

Fiola: Negroni
601 Pennsylvania Ave., NW; 202-628-2888
The Italian classic—a mix of Citadelle gin, sweet vermouth, and Gran Classico—is ultra-smooth at Fabio Trabocchi’s new Penn Quarter restaurant.
