Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Celebrate the US Open with big names, partake in doggie happy hour with Fido, or sample chocolate with the experts

DC’s sweet sister duo, Frances and Ginger Park, are signing copies of their book tonight.

GOLF: Mingle with some of the US Open’s biggest names at the Bethesda Blackfinn’s Players ParTee. Expected players include Sergio Garcia, Rory Mcllroy, Lee Westwood, Dustin Johnson, and Camilo Villegas, along with six Redskins players. Enjoy drinks, complimentary hors d’oevures, and live music. Proceeds benefit Caddy For a Cure to help fight childhood disease. Tickets ($30 to $100) can be purchased at the event Web site. VIP Meet and Greet 7 PM, General Admission 8 PM.

MUSIC: Put some pep in your step after a long day of work with the US Navy Band. Tap your toes to a selection of rock, country music, show tunes, and, of course, patriotic melodies at the US Navy Memorial and Naval Heritage Center. Past concerts have featured songs from Earth, Wind & Fire and the hit show Glee. Free. 8 PM.

HAPPY HOUR: Raise a glass to Fido at Jackson 20’s Doggie Happy Hour. Human attendees will get plenty of brews and fizzy cocktails, and dogs can eat an endless supply of biscuits. 5 to 8 PM.

SIGNING: Calling all chocolate lovers! Frances and Ginger Park, sisters and founders of the DC candy store Chocolate Chocolate, are dropping by the Alexandria Library to read excerpts from their book, Chocolate Chocolate: The True Story of Two Sisters, Tons of Treats, and the Little Shop That Could. Tasty chocolate treats will follow. 7 PM; Free.
