Elton John, the Beach Boys, and Rusted Root: Get Your Tickets

Sir Elton John comes to the Richmond Coliseum on Saturday, March 17. The pianist and pop icon is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time; his single “Candle in the Wind” holds the record for the world’s best-selling single, at more than 33 million copies. Tickets ($37 to $138) are on sale now through Ticketmaster.

Multi-instrumental group Rusted Root play the 9:30 Club on Sunday, May 6. The Pittsburgh-based jam band meld rock with African, Middle Eastern, and Latin American influences. Their hit single “Send Me on my Way” made Billboard’s top 100 in 1995 and appeared in the animated film Ice Age. Tickets ($25) are on sale now through Ticketfly.

The Avett Brothers, a folk rock band from Concord, North Carolina, will be playing at the Patriot Center on Monday, May 11. They performed at last year’s Grammys with Bob Dylan and Mumford and Sons. Tickets ($39) go on sale Friday, February 24, at noon through Ticketmaster.

Legendary surf rock darlings the Beach Boys play the Merriweather Post Pavilion on Friday, June 15. They’ve reunited for a global 50th anniversary tour and will be releasing a new studio album. Tickets (TBA) go on sale Friday, February 24, at 10 AM through Ticketfly

Rapper Tyga will be performing at the Fillmore Silver Spring on Monday, March 5. His new album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, will be released on February 21. Tickets ($25) are on sale through Livenation.
