Cheap beer: Station 4 is offering up a six-course menu paired with Sam Adams beers for $25 a head (excluding tax and tip) at 6 PM.
Better yet, free beer: Et Voila! is celebrating the return of its five-day Belgian Beer Festival Wednesday through Sunday, with gratis tastings for happy hour customers between 5 and 7 (select full-size beers are $4). There are also daily small-batch flights and a five-course pairing dinner on Wednesday ($65 per person) with rare Belgian brews.
Tosi in town: The big benefit this week is Confections and Cocktails ($125 per person), a rooftop charity event at 7:30 PM on Tuesday atop 101 Constitution Avenue for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Think nationally recognized pastry chefs such as Christina Tosi of Momofuku Milk Bar in NYC, plus booze and a killer view.
Hill Country does Dallas: The Penn Quarter ’cue spot is celebrating the two-hour premiere of TNT’s Dallas from 9 to 11 PM on Wednesday with late-night happy hour drink specials; they’re keeping the kitchen open, too.
Cuban pop-up: Cuba Libre chef-restaurateur Guillermo Pernot is literally bringing a taste of Cuba to his Penn Quarter eatery with the Pop-Up Paladares series. Pernot and visiting Cuban chef Alain Rivera will be cooking this menu Tuesday through Thursday at 6 and 8:30 PM ($45 per person); reservations are required.
Pilates and bubbles: Poste is hosting the first in a weekly series of 45-minute patio Pilates classes on Saturday morning at 10, followed by a gratis glass of Champagne (reservations, limited to 20, are $19). Not up for a liquid breakfast? Chef Dennis Marron designed a new healthy menu with items such as an egg white omelet and a granola parfait.
Family farm fun: Arcadia Farm in Alexandria is throwing its Family Fun Day Saturday from 1 to 5 PM with kid-friendly activities like face painting, arts and crafts, demos on how to make farm-based snacks, and face time with chickens. Register online ($5 per person).
Crawfish galore: The revamped Evening Star Cafe is throwing down on Saturday from 1 to 5 PM with a low-country-style crawfish boil and cold brews from Terrapin Beer Company. Come for the mud bugs, stay for music and cobbler.
