Tomorrow, another local celebrity chef enters the mobile eats game. Prepare yourself for Graffiato on Wheels, a one-day-only, road-worthy version of Mike Isabella’s Penn Quarter Italian restaurant. According to press materials, the project is a collaboration with CityEats, the online reservation system for which Isabella is a spokesperson.
Isabella will be aboard the truck tomorrow, conducting contests in which participants test their palates, identifying ingredients to win prizes. (You know, like they do on Top Chef.) Those prizes include lunch at Graffiato, a copy of Mike Isabella’s Crazy Good Italian, the chef’s forthcoming cookbook, and an iPod.
The schedule is below. According to the Washington Post, there will be free samples of “certain dishes” aboard the truck but no full-fledged menu. We’ll see if we can get more details on those.
