DECOR: DC’s quirkiest furniture and tchotchke store, 14th Street’s
Miss Pixie’s, is bringing in Art Enables’ Paul Yandura to talk about his collection of random
stuff and how you can start your own. A trip to Miss Pixie’s probably isn’t a bad
start. Tickets ($10) are available online. 7 PM.

Tuesday, June 11

THEATER: The
Source Festival is perfect for anyone who likes theater and has an extreme case of ADD. Hundreds
of playwrights from around the country sent in their scripts for off-the-wall ten-minute
plays; just a handful were picked for the festival. Check out six of the best Tuesday.
Tickets ($20) are available online. 8 PM.

Wednesday, June 12

HAPPY HOUR: It’s
Best of Washington season again, and you know what that means—awesome happy hours in the month leading
up to the big day. Join
The Washingtonian and the Leukemia & Lymphoma society at Arlington’s A-Town Bar & Grill—five bucks
gets you a drink and appetizers, and discounted tickets to Best of Washington will
be on sale. $5. 5 PM.

Thursday, June 13

BEER: Gulden Draak and Piraat’s
Jef Versele (can you tell the beers are Belgian?) will take over Jack Rose’s taps for a Piraat-themed
party, featuring $6 pours of 15 beers, a pirate costume contest, lots of free pirate
treasure, and more. The brewery has been in operation since before DC was even a thing
(1784), so these guys know a thing or two about making a brew. Free. 6 PM.
