Bright Fuchsia and Gold Wedding at Westfields Marriott

Colleen Cawley and Jeremy Harvey wed on September 20, 2014.

When it comes to color schemes, Colleen Cawley and Jeremy Harvey take the cake for weaving in their fuchsia berry and gold tones all throughout the ceremony and reception–from the bridesmaid dresses to the flowers to the place cards to the cake topper. For those on the hunt for some rich, jewel-toned wedding inspiration, look no further than this celebration photographed by Kurstin Roe Photography.

Jeremy had just moved into a new apartment in Dayton, Ohio, when his new landlord, Mary, reached out and invited him to her Halloween party. While at Mary’s place, he couldn’t help but notice the photo of her beautiful blond friend, Colleen. When Mary told Jeremy that Colleen would be coming to visit for a weekend, he was determined to get an introduction. When he met her in person, Jeremy found that his suspicious were correct: Colleen was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen.

After parting ways from her weekend visit, Colleen and Jeremy stayed in touch, finally agreeing to meet halfway between DC and Dayton in Pittsburgh. Though they both had to drive through a snowstorm to get there, they knew it was worth it to spend time together. They dated for another three and a half years, eventually moving to South Carolina together. During the summer, they were visiting Colleen’s aunt on the Jersey shore when Jeremy woke Colleen at five in the morning. Though he was wide awake and wanted to bring Colleen out on the beach for a walk, she pleaded for another hour of sleep. Finally, at 6:30, he successfully got her out of bed, and when they’d made it to the shore, he turned and got down on one knee.

For their wedding on September 20, 2014, Jeremy and Colleen decked out the Westfields Marriott with an abundance of fuchsia and gold accents. They set up a petal bar for guests to shower them as they came back up the aisle and filled the ceremony and reception with berry-colored dahlias.

After dancing the night away to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne, Colleen and Jeremy served up treats from their dessert bar before departing for a minimoon in Naples.
