Restaurants all over the Washington area honor both retired and active military this Veterans Day (Wedneday, November 11) with discounted food and drinks. Look for deals like free grilled cheese sandwiches at GCDC, half-off restaurant tabs at BLT Steak, and a whiskey-fueled fundraiser at Jack Rose. Don’t forget military IDs, as most places require proof of service.

Locations in Maryland and Virginia

Veterans and active military get a free appetizer or dessert at any of the chain barbecue restaurant’s Maryland or Northern Virginia locations from 11 am to 4:30 pm. Famous Dave’s will also give away free St. Louis-style spareribs to military members and their families outside of those locations, starting at 11 am, while supplies last.
