Tucked down 28th St. in Georgetown sits one of the most adorable homes in the region—heck, maybe in the world. It was built in the mid-1700s, making it one of the District’s oldest residences, and has dollhouse-like proportions. Painted a brilliant red, the exterior conjures up images of rambling Virginia barns made miniature.

Inside, it’s obvious the house could use a little TLC, but with knotty hand-hewn beams, a brick fireplace, and access to a teeny garden, it’s also clear that the right renovation could turn this into a delightful little nest.
