Good news for everyone craving a cold beer outside: Bardo Brewing‘s beer garden will reopen for the season on Friday. The al fresco bar off Bladensburg Road, Northeast is currently the largest in the District.

Owner Bill Stewart refurbished the outdoor bar with new wood, but besides that, thankfully not much has changed. Freshly-brewed beer, a dog-friendly door policy, corn hole, and outdoor movie screenings await.

Bardo’s upcoming sister beer garden near Nationals Park is also showing signs of forward momentum, according to a Craigslist ad hiring for an April or May debut. The 10,000-square foot “Beer Disneyland” on the Anacostia Riverfront will feature a dog run, bike shop, kayak ramp, and more.
