Ann: Morning, chatters! Hope you have had great weeks. I checked out the spanking-new St. Anselm this week (today marks its five-day birthday). The much-anticipated spot from Stephen Starr and Joe Carroll, right by Union Market, is predictably packed—and definitely feels like the coolest steak place in town. Although one friend quite aptly described the decor as “Brooklyn meets American Girl” (think lots of banners and vintage Americana plates). Foodwise, my early advice is to go for the crab-topped deviled eggs, extra-buttery butcher steak, and crunch-laden ice cream cake.
