Reveler’s Hour, the brand new Adams Morgan wine-and-pasta bar from the Tail Up Goat owners, is temporarily closed due to a Friday morning fire. A representative of the restaurant says the cause of the blaze, which was located on a wall outside the kitchen, is still under investigation.

“Thankfully, due to the quick response of DC Fire and EMS, it was contained very quickly,” the owners said via social media. “Luckily, no one was hurt and there was minimal damage.”

Co-owner Jill Tyler says that even though the incident was relatively small and contained quickly, the “best case scenario” for reopening is early in the week of February 3. In the meantime, she says the staff is using time to train at the fledgling restaurant.

“We’ve only been open three weeks so there’s still plenty to do—we’re seeing the silver lining,” says Tyler.

We’ll update the story with an opening time when it’s available.
