Steelers fan? Diehard for the Cardinals? Indifferent to who wins but want to catch the biggest football game of the year? Plenty of area sports bars are putting together food, drink, and other specials to celebrate. Here’s our guide to where to watch the Super Bowl in Washington.

Argonaut
Regulars to this H Street, Northeast, bar will be pleased to know that pitchers of the Argonaut Booty Beer, the bar’s house beer, will cost $10 on Super Bowl Sunday, while pitchers of Allagash and Dog Fish Head will cost $15. The bar also sports ten TVs and a 62-inch flat-screen.
Bottom Line
The Bottom Line, in DC’s Foggy Bottom, is offering bottles of Miller Lite for $2.50 and wings for $3.50. It’ll also provide hot dogs at halftime. The bar boasts 15 TVs and one 55-inch screen, and it will broadcast the game over the speaker system. The basement bar usually attracts a young, energetic crowd.
Bourbon Steak
On Sunday, Bourbon Steak—in Georgetown’s Four Seasons Hotel—is transforming its private dining room into a Super Bowl-viewing room for hire. Twenty friends can watch the game on a 60-inch plasma screen while they relax on leather couches and enjoy a tailgating menu provided by executive chef David Varley: black-truffle-and-Castelmagno grilled-cheese sandwiches; lobster corn dogs; foie gras-stuffed chicken wings; lobster pot pie; Wagyu-beef chili, and house-made milkshakes. The $5,000 price includes beverages, tax, gratuity, and a private cocktail server. Call 202-944-2026 if you’re interested in renting the room.
Buffalo Billiards
It’s all about wings at this Dupont Circle bar: 10 for $5.50, 20 for $9, or 30 for $12.50. Wash them down with $3 Coors Lights all night. Buffalo Billiards will also raffle off a 32-inch Panasonic flat-screen TV.
Champps Americana
Buying a $25 ticket in advance from this Pentagon City sports bar will guarantee you a $20 gift certificate you can use at the bar. This will come in handy if you want to guzzle its buckets of beer: $15 for a bucket of Corona, $11.95 for Miller.
Crystal City Sports Pub
Washington’s self-proclaimed “white-collar sports bar” has more than 100 TVs, including three ten-foot, high-definition ones and seven data boards. A special Super Bowl-themed menu will be offered, with local specialties from the competing sides (think Roethlisbergers). The bar currently has bookings from the Arizona State Society and the Pennsylvania State Society, (UPDATE: The Pennsylvania State Society is no longer hosting this event) so the atmosphere should be reasonably rowdy.
Ireland’s Four Courts
Chow down on 45-cent chicken wings and complimentary chips and salsa at this Arlnigton pub, where you can watch the game on surround-sound and high-def plasma televisions. Bottles of Miller Lite and Pabst Blue Ribbon will be $2.75.
Ireland’s Four Fields
Free food and cheap beer abound at this Woodley Park pub, which hosts a Super Bowl party every year. Guests can watch the game on the plasma TVs as hot dogs and other foods will be available during half time. Sixty-four-ounce-pitchers of beer will be $12.
James Hoban’s
Revelers at this Dupont Circle Irish bar can partake in a free wing buffet and $3 Miller draft while watching the game on eight screens.
Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern
Jimmy’s will celebrate its 12th annual Super Bowl bash this year. Food specials between 11 and 9 feature Buffalo wings, Philly cheesesteaks, spicy “Arizona” burgers topped with pepper jack, pico de gallo, and sour cream, “Roethlisbergers” (a Pittsburgh-style sub roll with ground beef, sausage, scrambled egg, and American cheese) and the house specialty of beef on weck. Special vents include the 12th annual football toss at noon and a free football pool with prizes of gift certificates for the first 100 fans. After 9, a DJ will arrive to kick off dancing. Reservations strongly encouraged.
Lucky Bar
Football fans won’t miss a moment of the Super Bowl at this Dupont Circle bar, where three big-screens and 22 televisions may give patrons a better view than the ref. Wing orders are 25 cents, Yuengling pints $3, and pitchers $12. The deals last all day and night.
McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon
This Foggy Bottom bar aims to host the area’s biggest Super Bowl party. A $30 ticket will get you access to an open bar, a complimentary appetizer buffet, and a chance to win a plasma TV during the raffle at the end of the game. Call ahead to reserve a table, and purchase tickets online at mcfaddensdc.com.
McGinty's Public House
This Silver Spring pub and restaurant will feature a special Super Bowl menu with chicken wings, chicken tenders, chili dogs, cheese fries, hot dogs, nachos, BBQ pork sandwiches and mini-corndogs. Wash that all down with $3 drafts of Miller Lite, George Killians and Yuengling.
Mezza Luna Restaurant and Lounge
Downtown DCs’ Mezza Luna in will tune its four plasma televisions as well as a 100-inch projection screen in to the game. Drink and appetizer specials will run throughout the day, including $4 bottles of select beers and $5 chicken wings.
Mister Days Sports Rock Cafe
Where can you go to see the Redskins cheerleaders shake their pompoms during halftime? At Mister Days, less than a block away from the Clarendon Metro stop in Arlington. A $25 ticket gives you access to the deluxe buffet, door prizes, and, of course, live dance performances from Washington’s favorite cheerleaders.
Mie N Yu
If beer, nachos, and wings aren’t to your liking, Georgetown’s Mie N Yu offers an alternative for Super Bowl Sunday. Its Hong Kong Bar has a new flat-screen TV, and it’s offering a slew of discounts to celebrate. A $20 three-course brunch with a free Champagne cocktail begins at 11 AM and lasts through the pregame coverage. Mojito, wine, and beer specials begin at $4 each, and chef Tim Miller will introduce some new lounge-menu items at the bar at 5
Momo’s Sports Bar
This family-owned business on DC’s U Street will boast a super buffet along with yet-to-be-determined prizes and giveaways. Prices aren’t yet finalized, but expect drink specials all day and a typical sports-bar atmosphere, with 30 high-definition TVs broadcasting the game.
My Brother's Place
A hop, skip, and a jump from Union Station, you'll find this spot celebrating the Super Bowl with an open bar and free appetizers throughout the game, for a $35 cover charge. Flavored rum and vodka cocktails will be on hand, as well as specials on drafts and nachos.
Nanny O’Briens
Nanny O’Briens in Cleveland Park is offering $2 Miller draft and half-price wings and burgers to patrons on Super Bowl Sunday. The Irish atmosphere will appeal to those who appreciate authenticity.
Nellie’s Sports Bar
Get pumped for the game at this U Street-area gay bar with $3 rail drinks from 11 to 5. After kickoff, specials include $3 Nellie beers, $5 cheese quesadillas, and $20 buckets of beer (five bottles) with an order of wings.
Old Ebbitt Grill
It’s business as usual for this downtown DC favorite among politicians and journalists. The only difference on Super Bowl Sunday is that the kitchen quadruples its supply of wings. Expect a classier, if predictably festive, crowd.
Porter’s Dining Saloon
A $30 ticket at this downtown DC saloon includes an open bar and unlimited helpings of wings, chicken fingers, and more at the buffet.
Pour House
Pittsburgh fans will find themselves at home in DC's Steelers bar, where they are offering $10 pitchers of Bud Light and Miller Lite, $2.50 pints of Bud and $3 bottles of Rolling Rock. A special football menu also features buckets of wings and fries: $8 for 10, and $15 for 20 (note: Cardinals fans may find themselves excluded from this offer). The venue has 25 screens over 3 different floors for fans to watch the game on, and there may be a half-time giveaway.
Remingtons
Celebrate the game at this gay Capitol Hill country-western bar. Free hot dogs and Buffalo wings will be served, and drink specials include $1 rail drinks and $1 draft Bud and Bud Light specials. Doors open at 6.
Rhino Bar & Pumphouse
Georgetown’s Rhino Bar will raffle off a 42-inch flat-screen. But even if you don’t win, there’s consolation in 25-cent wings, $8 Miller Light pitchers, and $11.95 16-inch pizzas.
Ri Ra Irish Pub
It may be Irish, but this pub, in Bethesda and Arlington, will be embracing all things American with $5 burgers, $2.50 Miller Lights, $4 Guinness, and $3.50 Leinie Sunset Wheat.
Rocket Bar
This Chinatown basement bar offers a “mug special” for the game: Buy a 22-ounce glass mug with Rocket Bar’s logo and you score $10 Bud Light ($4 per refill) or $12 Stella ($6 per refill) drafts. Cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon are discounted to $3, and rail drinks go for $5. This bar attracts a young and rowdy game-time crowd. And if football’s not your thing, there are seven pool tables, six shuffleboard tables, six dart boards, and three full bars to keep you entertained. Rocket Bar doesn’t have food for the game, but patrons can bring their own.
Rosa Mexicano
To complement its “Real Men Cook Mexican: Official Guide to a Mexican Super Bowl Party” demonstration on January 24, Rosa Mexicano, in Penn Quarter and National Harbor, has a special menu through February 8, featuring jumbo Mexican shrimp wrapped in bacon, ground-skirt-steak chili con carne, and crispy seasoned pork rinds. The restaurant also offers “guac-to-go Super Bowl party packs” in varying sizes (not specific to Super Bowl Sunday but event-themed).
Sign of the Whale
This downtown DC fixture is taking its deals into the Red Zone! Rail drinks are $4, pitchers of Bud Light and Miller Lite are $8, and representatives from Jim Beam will be giving away all sorts of specials. Hungry? Burgers are 15 percent off, while wings go for 25 cents. And for the third Super Bowl in a row, the watering hole is collecting funds to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ($10 donation suggested).
The Tombs
Saddle-up to watch the game with Georgetown University students and alumni at the Tombs, the basement bar of Georgetown’s 1789 Restaurant. Cans of Busch Light are $1.50 on Super Bowl Sunday, and Buffalo wings, half-pound burgers, and chili are sure to satisfy.
Union Pub
At this Capitol Hill bar, check out the game from a 100-inch projection screen or one of 17 other surround sound TVs while downing $2.50 Miller Lights bottles and PBRs or $10 pitchers. Food specials will also be available.
Whitlow’s on Wilson
This Clarendon bar and grill is sporting a brand new 110-inch HD projector in time for Super Bowl Sunday. Buffalo wings are half off, pitchers of Miller Lite and Sierra Nevada $10, and appetizers $2 off. The big event, however, is a raffle with giveaways during halftime: Patrons can win up to $100 in gift cards to Whitlow’s, and the grand prize is a weekend beach-house getaway to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Drink and food specials start at 5 and last until the end of the game.
Willy K’s
Though this Greenbelt sports bar usually caters to Redskins and (strangely) Vikings fans, it’s offering great deals for anyone wanting to watch the Steelers and Cardinals duke it out for the national title. Drafts of Miller Lite and Yuengling are $2.50, and “super shooters” (a.k.a. whatever concoction the bartender creates) are $1. Though the deals last only through game time, there’s a free buffet of hot dogs and nachos during halftime.
