We got news late yesterday that MTV's Be the Change Inaugural Ball has been canceled. Janice Gatti, an MTV spokesperson, said in an email that the youth-oriented bash planned at the Ronald Reagan Center has been canned.
"Instead," she writes, "we will be broadcasting from another DC location for our television program, which will air January 20th at 10pm." Details have yet to be released.
The Washington Post's Reliable Source fills in one tidbit, reporting that network will broadcast from one of Obama's official inaugural balls. Our guess: The Youth Ball. Rights to televise that event have yet to be snatched up.
