Home Away From Home: Holiday Hotel Packages

Washington hotels are roasting turkeys and decking the halls for the holidays. Here are packages some are offering to help you celebrate.

Beacon Hotel
From November 20 through 30, you can get discounts on stays at the Beacon. Stay one night and get 10 percent off, stay two for 15 percent off, or stay three or more nights for 20 percent off. You’ll also get Champagne upon arrival, continental breakfast for two everyday, and 50 percent off overnight parking. Call 202-296-2100 to book.

The Fairmont Washington, D.C.
The Fairmont gets into the holiday spirit with the Holiday Lights and Breakfast Delights Package, available November 20 through January 11. It includes a one-night stay and continental breakfast for two featuring seasonal berries and fruit, fresh juice, yogurt, cheese, bagels, muffins, Danish, and oatmeal. The hotel will be decorated for the holidays with a gingerbread village, 20-foot holiday tree, thousands of white lights, and more than 30 animated reindeer. The Homestead

This Hot Springs, Virginia, resort is offering a Thanksgiving package November 25 through 29 that includes a jam-packed schedule of family events—movie screenings, hayrides, family bingo, a magic show, marshmallow roasting, craft classes, and live music. From 6 to 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day, the Homestead will serve a hearty holiday buffet that includes honey-roasted ham, turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, fresh vegetables, desserts, and more. Rates start at $325 per night and are based on double occupancy. Some activities—such as the fly-casting clinic and hayrides—cost extra, but many are free.

The Homestead also debuts the Holiday Lights & Ice Unlimited Activities Package on November 22 for guests looking to take advantage of the resort’s winter activities. Starting at $249 per night, two people can enjoy room accommodations plus unlimited access to the new outdoor ice-skating rink, hayrides, falconry, golf, sporting clays, gorge hikes, horseback riding, and more. Inn at Perry Cabin
From November 25 through 28, you can book a Thanksgiving package at this St. Michaels retreat that includes overnight accommodations, breakfast for two, and access to spa facilities such as indoor and outdoor relaxation rooms, an infinity-edge pool, steam rooms, and fitness and yoga classes. The package starts at $405 per night, and it comes with a two-night minimum. Spa treatments cost extra. Call 410-745-2200 for reservations.

Liaison Capitol Hill
Make room for more guests with the Liaison Capitol Hill's special Thanksgiving rate: Rooms start at $99 a night from November 25 through 29. To make a reservation, call 800-AFFINIA and use the code "Thanks."

Park Hyatt Washington D.C.

The Park Hyatt’s American Harvest package, valid through November 29, includes an overnight stay in a Park Deluxe room, an apple pie from Blue Duck Tavern upon arrival, two beverages in the hotel lounge, and valet parking. Rates start at $329 a night. Call 202-789-1234 to book.

Renaissance M Street Hotel
Hosting guests for the holidays? The Renaissance M Street Hotel's "Relatively Close" Holiday package keeps out-of-town friends and family, well, relatively close. Starting at $99 a night, the package is valid from November 20 through January 10. It's available 7 days a week, but stays must include a Friday or Saturday night. Savoy Suites Hotel
Book at room at Savoy Suites—rates start at $149 a night—and you can get complimentary Thanksgiving dinner for two at the hotel's Twist Georgetown Restaurant. Late check out at 2 PM, complementary parking, and access to Washington Sports Club are also included. The package is valid from November 20 through 30. Tides Inn

Tides Inn on the Chesapeake Bay in Irvington, Virginia, is offering a $150 resort credit for guests who book a two-night stay through December 27. The credit can be used toward spa treatments, golf, dinner, and more. The resort is also offering a package called the More the Merrier, which allows you to book one room and get the second for half price. Rooms start at $250. The package is valid through December 31 and carries a two-night minimum stay requirement. For reservations, call 800-843-3746.

Willard InterContinental

The Willard’s one-night Nutcracker Sugarplum Package, available December 10 through 27, includes two orchestra seats for a performance of The Nutcracker at the Warner Theatre. Guests who book the package are also entitled to breakfast for two, overnight valet parking, and a tin of sugar plums and nuts to snack on.
