Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Listen to jazz while shopping for dinner, or grab a drink for a worthy cause

Adding live music venue to its list of amenities, the so-called Social Safeway in Georgetown gives shoppers the chance to hear some jazz while browsing the aisles. Tonight, Loide Jorge plays contemporary jazz mixed with African and Portuguese rhythms. 5 to 7; no cover.

It’s the next-to-last night to catch My Husband Is a Cuckold (Mi Marido es un Cornudo). Part of the International Festival of Hispanic Theater at the Gunston Arts Center (2700 S. The Coalition for Real Beauty, a nonprofit aimed at promoting a change in conventional understandings of beauty and mentoring girls ages 10 to 30, is hosting a fundraiser at Relic. The happy hour includes food and drink specials and live music. Guests are asked to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 5:30 to 8; suggested donation $10. RSVP here.
