Nothing says Christmastime like a resplendent, star-topped evergreen with presents underneath. Whether you have the merriest house on the block or just want that pine-scented homey feeling in your urban apartment, here are a few of the many locations around Washington where you can find the tree that’s right for you. Home Depot and Meadows Farms have lots of locations throughout Washington; click on the name of the store to find the nearest location.

DC
Frager’s Hardware Store

Hours: Monday through Friday 7 to 7, Saturday 7 to 6, Sunday 8 to 5.
Additional services: Baling (the mesh wrap that keeps your tree together), trimming, and securing the tree to your car.

Garden District

Additional services: Wreaths and garlands, tree stands, holiday plants, and tree lights for sale; baling, trimming, delivery and home set-up (an additional $25-$55 depending on tree size).

St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church

Hours: Thursday and Friday 5 to 8:30, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 5.
Additional services: Securing the tree to your car, trimming, home delivery (especially for seniors). Tree stands and wreaths are available.

The Oyster School

Santa’s Forest

Hours: Monday through Wednesday noon to 7, Thursday and Friday noon to 9:30, Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 9:30 PM.
Additional services: Baling, drilling a hole in the tree to accommodate tree stands, and home delivery for a to-be-determined fee. Wreathes, poinsettias, and small tree ornaments are available for purchase.

MARYLAND

Butler’s Orchard

Hours: Tuesday through Sunday 9:30 to 5:30. Pre cut trees available after Saturday, November 26.
Additional services: Choose-and-cut option, baling and tree shaking (so excess needles don’t end up all over your home), securing the tree to your car.

VIRGINIA

Wolf Trap Nursery

Additional services: Baling and securing the tree to your car. The nursery also sells balled-and-burlapped trees, which can be replanted after Christmas.
