BYGays is celebrating its first anniversary tonight at U Street Music Hall. The party, featuring Smirnoff drink specials and local DJs, runs from 5 to 10. No cover.
Bellmen Barker, a foursome that’s often compared to Belle & Sebastian, is playing tonight at the Rock & Roll Hotel. There’ll also be performances by Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band and Alma Tropicalia. 8 PM; tickets ($10) are available here.
Alexandria-based jewelry designer Evelyn Brooks is displaying and selling her stylish pieces at a trunk show at the Mandarin Oriental. The reception is from 5 to 7, but her designs, which feature sterling silver and beading, are for sale through December 20 at the hotel’s gift shop. No cover.
