Fashionistas won’t want to miss the Corcoran’s special screening of Bill Cunningham New York. For decades, New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham has documented fashion trends and high society soirées in his style columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours.” In the film, director Richard Press chronicles the life of a man, now 82, who has dedicated his life to capturing Manhattan style and culture. Tickets (free for Corcoran students and faculty, $5 for non-Corcoran students, $8 for members, and $10 for non-members) can be purchased at the event Web site. 7 PM.

Tuesday, July 19
BELGIAN RESTAURANT WEEK: Wine and dine at the Belgian Ambassador’s home during tonight’s Belgian Restaurant Week event. Enjoy a swanky six-course dinner of Belgian fare from all seven participating restaurants—including Brasserie Beck, Mussel Bar, and Le Pain Quotidien. Each course will be paired with a Belgian brew. To purchase tickets ($175) call Belga Café at (202) 544-0100. Cocktail hour begins at 6 PM, dinner starts at 7 PM.

Wednesday, July 20
JEWELRY:
Join the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaboration for their jewelry trunk show at Project 4. Peruse accessories from eight designers while sampling wine and appetizers. Designers include Kewlism, Isabelle Glass, and Heidi Hess of Poppy Metals, to name a few. A portion of proceeds will benefit the nonprofit, which provides public school students with access to the arts. Tickets ($5) can be purchased at the event Web site. 6 to 9 PM

Thursday, July 21
MUSIC:
Where can you hear scores from blockbuster favorites like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park? At the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s “Music of John Williams” concert at the Strathmore. Tickets ($25 to $50) can be purchased at the event Web site. 8 PM.
