Monday, December 19
THEATER:
For one night only, Shakespeare Theatre will host a screening of the National Theatre’s Collaborators at Sidney Harman Hall. Written by John Hodge, the mind behind Trainspotting and The Beach, the play is about an imagined encounter between Joseph Stalin and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov. Tickets ($20) can be purchased through the theater’s Web site. 7:30 PM.

Tuesday, December 20
MUSIC:
Feeling festive? Then stop by the Iota Club and Cafe for tonight’s “Holidays on the Rocks” concert. Guests can craft their own holiday cards and gift tags while listing to performances from Addieville, Meredith Bragg, Charlie Harrison, the Boxelders, and Astra Via. Tickets ($10) can be purchased at the door. 8 PM.

Wednesday, December 21
BEER:
Beer connoisseurs won’t want to miss the release of Flying Dog’s Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout at Churchkey. The bar will be serving Kujo on draft and nitro, along with five specialty casks—including star anise, vanilla beans, and elderberries. Cheers! Admission is free. 6 to 10 PM.

Thursday, December 22
HANUKKAH:
Chabad of Bethesda-Chevy Chase is hosting a Candy Land–themed menorah lighting at Bethesda Row. Guests can enjoy live music, hot latkes, cotton candy, popcorn, a magic show, and more. Free. 6 PM. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our roundup of holiday events.
