MUSIC:
For one night only, the Washington Chorus is bringing “A Candlelight Christmas” to Strathmore. The performance will feature sing-alongs of classic songs and a candlelight procession. Tickets (starting at $20) are available through the Strathmore’s Web site. 7:30 PM.

If you’re in the mood for something with a bit more soul, jazz singer Lena Seikaly is dropping by Twins Jazz. The DC native graduated from the University of Maryland School of Music. You can listen to some of her songs here. Tickets ($10) can be purchased through the club’s Web site. 8 and 10 PM.

COMEDY: Celebrate the second night of Hanukkah with Jewmongous at the Birchmere. Written and performed by Sean Altman, the comedy concert features “unkosher” songs about Jewish heritage. Altman is best known for co-writing the theme song of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? Tickets ($25) can be purchased through the Birchmere’s Web site. 7:30 PM.

ART: Touchstone Gallery is hosting a holiday open house tonight. Culture buffs can enjoy complimentary drinks, sweets, and carols while perusing the gallery’s selection of artwork. Free. 11 AM to 6 PM.
