Thursday, May 15: If – like us – you've been drooling over photos from the new Sex and the City movie set for the past few months, this one's for you: Georgetown's We One You Two boutique is holding a special party from 6 to 9pm to show off new accessories and fashions that are featured in the film. Cosmos will be served, natch.
It's also Third Thursday over on U Street; local boutiques like Nana (which is hosting a Bubbles & Bubbly party from 5 to 8 PM, complete with complimentary champagne) will be staying open late and offering special discounts.
Friday, May 16: Today, at 3 PM, we're doing the first-ever online fashion chat here at Washingtonian.com, with me (Betsy Lowther, fashion blogger from fashionispinach.com) and Rachel Cothran of street-fashion-photography blog projectbeltway.com. Ask us a question, won't you?
Chic U Street boutique Caramel is throwing themselves a two-year anniversary party from 6 to 9 PM. The best part? Selected spring and summer items will be 20 to 60 percent off.
Saturday, May 17: D.C. native Jennifer Baum Lagdameo, who just happens to be the designer of one of our very favorite bag lines, Ananas, will be holding a special preview of her Fall 2008 collection at Bethesda Row's Daisy Too from noon to 6 PM. Be prepared to drool.
Fun Adams Morgan fash spot Shake Your Booty is hosting a trunk show for fashion label Manu and local jewelry line Yinibini from 4 to 9 PM with a fashion show at 6 PM.
Pooped out from all this fashiony activity? Luckily, Tranquil Space Yoga is launching a new 17th Street location with a grand opening party from 6 to 9 PM. Catch a fashion show by luxe eco-line TranquiliT and wind down with free mini-massages; more details and rsvp info here.
Wednesday, May 21: Georgetown style hotspot Intermix hosts a fundraiser for Washington Humane Society's Fashion for Paws cause from 7 to 9 PM. Gift bags, sushi snacks and raffle prices will be on hand—plus, 10 percent of all sales will be donated to the society. RSVP to rsvp@intermixny.com.
