It’s nearly time for Cinco de Mayo! We’re helping you celebrate with this roundup of fiestas, margaritas, and music.

On Tap magazine’s Cinco de Mayo Mobile Mania takes people on a five-bar tour of Washington. The tour is free, but you have to enter a contest to win a seat on one of the bus rides. Winners will be notified via e-mail. For more information, click here.

Starting at 10, DJs Doc Delay and D-Mac will spin latin funk, soul and hip hop tunes at the Velvet Lounge.

Ellsworth Drive in downtown Silver Spring will be shut down from 4:30 to 8:30 for Austin Grill's Cinco de Mayo street festival featuring food, drinks, and a mariachi band. For more information click here.

Cafe Citron's Cinco de Mayo party includes drink specials ($4 beers and $6 margaritas) and a costume contest at midnight. Half-price appetizers will be served from 4 to 8.

The Jose Mackey's Irish Cinco de Mayo Party, sponsored by Lindy Promotions, will have free sombreros for the first 100 people at the door, as well as free drinks from the Jose Cuervo girls. From 4 to 11, drink and food specials include $3 beers, $4.05 margaritas, and $8 chicken taco platters. Price of admission is $5. 

DC’s Hispanic Bar Association is sponsoring a party with an open bar and buffet at the Park at Fourteenth. To register and get more details, click here.

The Montgomery County Humane Society’s Cinco de Meow party will feature live music, prizes, margaritas, and cats available for adoption. The party runs from 7 to 9; $25 mandatory donation ($40 for couples).

La Sandía Mexican Kitchen & Bar in Tysons Corner Center will have live music from 4 to 8 as well as a three-course menu for $29. A special menu will be available through May 7.

In DC’s Penn Quarter, Rosa Mexicano is hosting a Cinco de Mayo masquerade party with live music and a special menu. Patrons who show up in costume will be entered in a contest, and the first 200 to arrive at the restaurant will receive a shot of tequila in a collectible glass.

Hope House, an organization that helps children and families with imprisoned fathers, is holding a Cinco de Mayo happy hour at Chi Cha Lounge. The event will feature a silent auction. 6 PM.

The Dos Diablos Party at McFadden’s is named in honor of a drink that combines Dos Equis beer with a shot of Two Fingers tequila. The drink will be available for $5 all night; other specials include $2 Coronas and $3 margaritas. For $10, there will be an all-you-can-eat taco bar at 8.
