This just may be Penelope Cruz’s year: Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona has gotten the actress some serious buzz, and now Elegy, in which she stars alongside Ben Kingsley, is getting similar attention. The Los Angeles Times talked to Cruz and Elegy director Isabel Coixet about the film.

The New York Times profiled David Gordon Green, the indie director behind the latest Apatow raunch-fest Pineapple Express. Meanwhile, NPR’s Bob Mondello gave the film and star James Franco an enthusiastic review.
