Monday, March 31: LK and Meredith Bragg

Whether you’re looking to learn more about wine or just cash in on free booze, Bistrot Lepic’s weekly Tuesday wine tasting is the spot to be. From 6 to 8 PM at the cozy Georgetown restaurant, a sommelier will guide you through sips of a French wine or two. When Arlington bar Dr. Dremo’s closed down, it was more than just one loss for the fun-loving community: Washington’s Psychotronic Film Society, which hosted weekly screenings of indie and cutting-edge film at Dremo’s, was left without a home. But it’s back, with a new home at the Arlington Cinema ’n Drafthouse. Tonight film is The Anniversary, starring Bette Davis. 8:30 PM; all screenings are free, but a $2 donation is suggested.
Thursday, April 3: Vaudeville at Studio Theatre
Studio is about to launch a New Vaudeville Festival. Twenty-first century clowns known as “new vaudevillians” don’t put on silly makeup or wear baggy pants. They owe more to existentialist playwright Samuel Beckett than to the circus, but their acts are funny, even goofy at times. This is good fringe theater. April 1 through 20; tickets are $34 to $57.
