Where & When: What to Do Tonight

A one-woman show and a personal collection of paintings open tonight

The exhibit “Folks Like Us,” with works by Paula Lantz, opens tonight at Touchstone Gallery. The paintings reflect the artist’s personal dramas using large, boldly painted and collaged abstract figures. The show runs through November 28. Free.

The one-woman musical One Night With Fanny Brice comes to the Spectrum Theater. Esther Covington stars as the famous singer and comedian, telling jokes, stories, and singing more than 20 songs. It runs through November 28. Purchase tickets ($27 to $35) here. The preview performance tonight is pay-what-you-can.

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of the fashion label Rag & Bone are making their first appearance in Washington. Intermix is hosting a reception where stylish patrons can shop the fall collection, preorder spring styles, and sip complimentary beer and Champagne, all while getting advice from the designers. 5 to 8.
