Three very different styles of music to end the year

Hear Weston Jennings, an up-and-coming organist and a student at the Eastman School of Music. He has won multiple accolades and performed in various concert halls and churches. Jennings is at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall at 6. Free.

The blues quartet the Skip Castro Band is performing songs such as “My Gal Is Red Hot” and “Boogie Woogie Country Girl” tonight at the State Theatre. The Nighthawks, an electric-blues group, is the opening act. 7 PM; tickets ($20) are available here.

Otis Heat, a self-described “American eclectic funk band” is playing at the Rock & Roll Hotel. Also in the lineup are Fools & Horses and Color School. 8 PM. Buy tickets ($10) from Ticket Alternative.
