Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Bethesda Row dining specials, and a creepy puppet double feature

FOOD: Find a new favorite place to eat during Bethesda Row’s Restaurant Week, today through April 17.  Participating restaurants include Jaleo, Redwood, and Assaggi Mozerella Bar, each offering three-course lunches for $15 and three-course dinners for $30.

TALK:
George Washington University is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of National Public Radio with a special presentation from personalities like Cokie Roberts, Audie Cornish, and Senior Vice President Margaret Low Smith on the impact of public radio on today’s culture. Given recent headlines, it should be a lively discussion. The event also honors the university’s retiring professor of Media and Public Affairs, Christopher H. Sterling. 6:15 PM; free. RVSP at EventBrite.

MOVIE: Take in a free “creepy puppets” double feature tonight at the Black Cat’s backstage, where they’ll be screening psychedelic ‘80s classics The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth starting at 8:30. Drink specials include an appropriately named “Podling Punch” for $5.
