FILM:
Summer is winding down, which means it’s your last chance to catch a free flick at Bethesda Row’s movie series. The all-star cast includes Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard, and Gwyneth Paltrow. You can watch the trailer here. Redwood will be serving complimentary popcorn and $10 dirty martinis and glasses of Macallan scotch. 8:30 PM.

DESIGN: Décor-obsessed Washingtonians won’t want to miss Apartment Therapy’s Summer Social at The Dunes. Interior designers Alex Sanchez, Eric Kole, and Zoe Feldman will explore the latest trends, offer helpful tips, and answer your burning design questions. RSVP at the event Web site. 7 PM.

MUSIC: Malian singer and guitarist Vieux Farka Touré is performing at 9:30 Club tonight.
