MUSIC: Violinist Joshua Bell joins pianist Sam Haywood at the Kennedy Center. “The only criticism that comes to mind about [Bell’s] performances is that they are sometimes too beautiful,” says writer Charles T. THEATER: The Folger Theatre’s staging of The Gaming Table opens tonight. Written by Susanna Centlivre, the comedy explores a wealthy widow’s penchant for gambling. Tickets for tonight’s pay-what-you-can performance will be available one hour prior to showtime; tickets for future performances ($30 to $65) can be purchased through the theater’s website. 7:30 PM. The play runs through March 4.

ART: If you haven’t already, head to the American Art Museum to see Annie Leibovitz’s new exhibition, “Pilgrimage.” The collection features more than 70 landscapes and still lifes by the acclaimed photographer. “Leibovitz’s eye for a shot remains laser sharp, helping her zoom in on the things that are most representative of their owners,” says arts editor Sophie Gilbert. “What you get is a moody, surprisingly ghostly collection of Americana, from the television Elvis Presley shot out in a fit of pique to the gloves and hat Abraham Lincoln wore the night he was assassinated.” Read the full review here.
