This Thursday evening brings together fashion and charity in an event that will help you reinvigorate your closet and jewelry box for spring. Girls Gone Glam, at the Hotel Monaco (700 F Street, NW), features trunk shows by area boutiques with complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
In addition to items for sale and a silent auction, makeup artists from Saks Fifth Avenue will be on hand to touch you up. All proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction, as well as 10 percent of the prices of items purchased from participating boutiques, will be donated to the Dress for Success Professional Women’s Group, an organization that helps women making the transition from unemployment to work.
