If you’ve somehow missed it on TV this holiday season, the classic film It’s A Wonderful Life is being screened at the Smithsonian American Art Museum at 6:30. Free.

Vince Scheuerman, formerly of the local band Army of Me, is playing for the first time tonight with his new group, River James. The indie-rock band aims to please old fans and win new ones. At the Black Cat; 9 PM. Buy tickets ($10) here.
