Where & When: What to Do Tonight

From furniture shopping to a striptease, there’s a wide range of activities to kick off the weekend

For a sweet night out, try Sugar Shack’s burlesque show at the Red Palace. The New York City-based troupe will dance, tease, and do other things not fit to print. The show starts at 10; buy tickets ($10) here or at the door ($12).

Ben of the photo Web site Passion to Live is bringing an exhibit of his “Sunday Sessions” to FotoWeek DC. The collection is a series of intimate portraits that question and expand definitions of female beauty. In celebration of the show, L2 Lounge is hosting a party with drinks, music, and a chance to view the exhibit. 7 PM. Tickets are $10 at the door before 10 and $30 after. E-mail to RSVP.

Theodore’s (2233 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-333-2300) is hosting a fall art show, featuring a collection of unframed works. The oils on canvas and paper start at $300, and furniture and other home accessories are 40 percent off all weekend. No cover.
