Pi Day is this Saturday (3.14, get it?). Whether you’re a pi fan or a pie fan, restaurants and bars are celebrating with sweet and savory rounds–many priced at the magic number.

BicycleSpace Pi(e) Day ride

700 Fifth St., SE

Get active on Pi Day with a bike ride followed by slices from Acme Pie Co. Cyclers meet at BicycleSpace’s temporary Chinatown shop at 11:30 am for a 15 mile ride to Curbside Cafe, where you can get your fill of sweets. The ride and accompanying pie are free, but the bicycle shop encourages riders to purchase coffee or lunch at the Cafe (they don’t serve pie). Register online for the ride.

The Columbia Height bar/eatery offers sweet slices and savory mini breakfast pies from Paisley Fig, Friday through Sunday. Order slices in a variety of flavors to eat on the patio while you sip an expertly-crafted cocktail, or pre-order whole pies for pickup on Saturday.

Looking to splurge for Pi Day? Celebrate with sweet and savory pastries in this upscale eatery. Chef Bertrand Chemel serves two savory rounds with seasonal accompaniments: one filled with duck, pork, and foie gras ($22), and a vegetarian potato pie with shaved truffles ($18). Pastry chef Caitlin Dysart goes more classic with slices of apple and chocolate-pecan. The specials are served for lunch and dinner on Friday, and dinner-only on Saturday.

The chain celebrates the holiday by offering two medium one-topping pizza pies for $6.99. This may just be their “Pair O’Pizzas” special with a festive makeover, but hey, more pizza.

Pi(e) Day: Whiskey Meets Whisked! at One Eight Distilling

Keep it both trendy and nerdy by joining this recently opened distillery for a math-inspired pop-up. Whisked! bakery will sell savory and sweet creations, which you can try before or after taking a tour of the facility and sampling their spirits. Guests can also go home with recipes for “booze-infused baked experimentation,” which sounds dangerous (in a fun way).

This Ballston joint offers a build your own pizza base for the low price of $3.14. Unfortunately the add-ons aren’t never-ending like the number–more toppings are extra.

More pie for less! Two happy hours feature $3.14 pies by the slice at this shop’s H Street location. Stop by from 9 to 11 AM and 7 to 10 PM for the deal.
