Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Every morning, we’ll let you know where the area’s food trucks are rolling.

Morning, readers. Hope everyone had a great three-day weekend. There are big food-truck clusters at L'Enfant and the downtown DC parks today. If you're looking to cool down, you'll find Dippin Dots with soft-serve at the former and strawberry milkshakes from Fry Captain at the latter. More locations and a map after the jump. 

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Merlindia from Fojol Bros. and Pi Truck DC.

Franklin Park (14th and K sts., NW), where you'll find Fry Captain, Sabor'a Street, a Sâuçá truck, and Takorean. Pedro and Vinny's is nearby at 15th and K streets, Northwest.

L'Enfant (around Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW),
where you'll find Austin Grill Truck, Carnivore BBQ, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's third stop at the Metro), Dippin Dots, a Red Hook Lobster truck, DC Pie Truck, Sol Mexican Grill, and Tasty Kabob.

Metro Center (around 12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find DC Empanadas.

Navy Yard (Fourth and M sts., SE),
where you'll find El Floridano and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's third stop at the Metro).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find Bada Bing (Courthouse), District Taco (Crystal City), Doug the Food Dude (Greensboro and Solutions drs., Tysons), and Tasty Kabob carts (1525 Wilson Blvd., 1735 Lynn St., 1200 Hayes St.).

West End/State Department area (around 20th St. and Virginia Ave., NW), where you'll find Benethiopia from Fojol Bros. (21st St.), a Red Hook Lobster truck (at 22nd St.), and a Sâuçá truck.

Union Station/Capitol South area, where you'll find Ficelle, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's second stop at Capitol South Metro), and a Sâuçá truck (another is nearby in NoMa). Eat Stix is at First and M streets, Northeast.
