Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Good morning, readers. It's another great day to grab lunch from a food truck. The most popular parking spots today are in downtown DC and around L'Enfant Plaza. Sabor'a Street, parked around 17th and K streets, Northwest, has an intriguing special on tap: soft-shell-crab tacos. If anyone gives them a try, report back with your thoughts. Capitol South Metro area, where you'll find one Red Hook Lobster Truck (Third and D sts., SE), a Sâuçá truck (First and D sts., SE), and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's fourth stop).

Downtown DC, where you'll find PORC (Franklin Park at 13th and K sts., NW), two Sâuçá trucks (20th St. and Virginia Ave., NW; 24th and M sts., NW), Sweet Bites Truck (second stop at 20th and L sts., NW), Pi Truck DC (Farragut Square at 17th and I sts., NW), Sabor'a Street (17th and K sts., NW) with special soft-shell-crab tacos, and Pedro and Vinny's (15th and K sts., NW).

Federal Center, where you'll find Fojol Bros. (Third and E sts, SW), Sidewalk Sweets (first stop: Fourth and C sts., SW), and Big Cheese Truck.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Eat Wonky, SweetFlow Mobile, Carnivore BBQ, Sidewalk Sweets (second stop), Sol Mexican Grill, Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop, second stop at 400 Maryland Ave., SW), and DC Pie Truck. A Red Hook Lobster Truck is a few blocks away at 500 12th Street, Southwest, and Sidewalk Sweets will make its third stop at the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

Metro Center, where you'll find Cap Mac DC and Sweet Bites Truck (first stop).

Navy Yard (First and M sts., SE), where you'll find Austin Grill Truck, El Floridano, and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's third stop).

NoMa (First and H sts., NE), where you'll find a Sâuçá truck, Sweet Bites Truck (third stop), and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop at First and N sts., NE).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find District Taco (Crystal City), Doug the Food Dude (Greensboro and Solutions drs., Tysons Corner), Solar Crepes (Ninth and Stuart sts., Ballston), Taco Carrito (900 N. Stuart St., Arlington), and BBQ Bandidos (Ballston on N. Stuart St. off the square).

Union Station, where you'll find DC Slices and DC Empanadas.
