This winter’s weather has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride: One day it feels like spring, the next like winter. So it’s hard to know what’s in store for February. But whatever Mother Nature throws at us, we have you covered with these exclusive travel deals.


Mountain Fun

What’s special: No matter the weather, there’s plenty to do at this resort on 2,000 acres in southwestern Pennsylvania. With snow on Mystic Mountain, it’s a great place for first-time and intermediate skiers as well as snowboarders. Other activities include snowtubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and dogsledding. Guests can also get behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and experience off-road driving or head to the Field Club with its 35 sporting-clay stations. For those who want to relax, the spa has a menu of nearly 100 treatments, an indoor lap pool, a whirlpool, and steam and sauna. There’s also a 2,400-square-foot fitness center. Or you can take a tour of the $45 million art collection. The resort offers a variety of accommodations and dining.

The deal: To mark its 25th anniversary, the resort is offering the Nemacolin Celebration Package, which includes two nights’ accommodation, a $200 resort credit (good for dining, shopping, spa services, and other activities), breakfast for two daily, and a commemorative silver-anniversary plate. The package starts at $600, a 68 percent savings off regular rates. If you want to stay one additional night, you pay just $25 extra at the time of booking. Virginia Is for Lovers

What’s special: At this cozy bed-and-breakfast on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, guests enjoy plush bed linens, a hot breakfast, and a relaxing Wine-Down Hour where wine and homemade hors d’oeuvres are served each evening. The breakfast includes locally roasted coffee, homemade jams and jelly, delicious homemade breads, and entrées such as cheese omelets topped with fresh herbs. You can spend the day touring local vineyards, nearby Chincoteague Island, or the town of Onancock itself, with its late-19th-century houses featuring Victorian gingerbread trim.

Charm City Luxury

What’s special: Baltimore has a new luxury hotel, the Four Seasons. Opened in November, the chic urban retreat sits at the edge of Baltimore’s Harbor East waterfront, offering views of the Inner Harbor and Baltimore skyline. Each marble bathroom features an embedded TV in the mirror, a deep soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. The contemporary rooms have a large flat-screen HDTV with Blu-ray/DVD player. You can hit the 1,800-square-foot fitness center 24 hours a day. At the tranquil spa, rejuvenate and unwind at the Finnish Rock Sauna, Ice Fountain, and Experience Shower, where options include Tropical Rain and Arctic Mist. Those getting a spa treatment can spend time in one of the waterfront relaxation rooms.
