Table-Hopping: Where the Boldface Names Are Eating

Nic Cage, Donald Rumsfeld, Tim Russert, and Ed Harris all hit up Georgetown, while Iggy Pop hangs at Blue Duck Tavern.

Richard Clarke, Bush's former counterterrorism chief, ate solo (novel in hand) at the Silver Diner in Clarendon…

…Mayor Adrian Fenty picked up a carryout roasted chicken from Nathans in Georgetown…

…Fenty was also spotted celebrating WTOP commentator Mark Plotkin's birthday at the swank Prime Rib on K Street…

…And speaking of birthdays, Colin Powell breakfasted on bacon and eggs at the Four Seasons with Madeleine Albright. He’d turned 70 the night before, and so was feted with a morning chocolate dessert. George Stephanopoulos was there separately…

Donald Rumsfeld was seen at Billy Martin’s Tavern in Georgetown, where he reportedly likes the shad. The week before, Senator Joe Lieberman was spotted there drinking Dogfish Head beer with wife Hadassah

Tim Russert had brunch with a teenage boy (his son?) and another man at 1789. The savvy G-town crowd kept gawking to a minimum and let him eat in peace. No autograph hounds…

…In the lounge at the downtown Marriott hotel, mulletless one-hit-wonder (and current Dancing With the Stars contender) Billy Ray Cyrus sat with his actress daughter Miley, who snacked on a club sandwich…

Harvey Keitel dined by his lonesome at the downtown Ritz’s Lobby Lounge..

Iggy Pop and the Stooges–in town for a double-bill 9:30 Club show–hung out with lobbyists at Blue Duck Tavern. Um, badass…

…Car-chase-loving actor Nic Cage, in town shooting National Treasure: Book of Secrets, slurped pad thai with his wife at Bangkok Joe’s on the Georgetown waterfront…

Scooter Libby pregamed at the Penn Quarter Austin Grill, then headed to the Verizon Center to see the Wizards…

…Sudden man-about-town Jon Voight, also shooting National Treasure, dined on cod and mashed potatoes and made some fast friends at Blue Duck Tavern. The midnight cowboy has also been spotted schmoozing at the Monocle, dining with journalists at Teatro Goldoni, and hitting up Georgetown dive bar Garrett's with Ed Harris

…There was quite the scene a few weeks ago at Cafe Milano: Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, and Colin Powell hung out in the Washington Room for a party honoring former secretary of transportation William Coleman. Meanwhile, Adrian and Michelle Fenty supped in the main dining room…

…During the CNN party at Russia House that followed the Radio and TV Correspondents’ dinner, anchor Lou Dobbs hovered protectively over the caviar table.
