Wine and shopping? We’re there. Several U Street retailers are joining forces for “U-r FABULOUS,” an evening of libations and discount shopping to benefit the nonprofit Team DC, which encourages involvement in sports within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.
Friday, September 14, starting at 6:30 PM, tickets ($20) will be available for the evening at the new housewares store RCKNDY (1515 U Street, NW). The fun goes until 8:30 PM, and the tickets get you a wristband for shopping discounts as well as a “wine passport,” which will allow you to sample dozens of wines— from Argentina, Germany, Australia, California, and Maryland—that will be offered at each store.

Wild Women Wear Red (1512 U Street, NW), offering a 20-percent discount on select merchandise
Caramel (1603 U Street NW) with a 20-percent discount
